INS HAMLA – 2017 RUKSHAROPAN
For the 2017 Ruksharopan event, a total of 90 naval officers along with their commander-in-chief planted around 85 mango saplings around the Ashram. Their motive is to create a mini ecosystem that helps reduce the effects of climate change and provide a sanctuary where birds & familial creatures can take shelter and humans can enjoy the fruit of their labour.
Planting trees is their way of giving back to the community and reconnecting with nature. Their this act of selfless service brings to the fore the importance of caring for our environment and it teaches us about the social impact it can have if all humans participate in this beautiful movement.
The officers of the INS Hamla team always end their day by doing ‘Seva’ at the ashram and as a token of appreciation present a memento to Guruji for its kind assistance. Their continued service and active role in protecting the environment has earned them the accolades from the community and the gratitude of all inhabitants in the surrounding areas.
We deeply appreciate and salute them for their act of kindness!
